FAMILIES ASSOCIATION July
17, 2006
Dear Cousins and Namesakes, The Y
chromosome is passed relatively unchanged from father to son and only
appears in males. This makes it suited for study in surname projects. If
you are a male surnamed Eustace or variants, or know of such a person, and
you would be interested in participating or sponsoring someone in the
study, please participate in this study. The more samples we get, the more
information we may learn about the origins of our surname. There are
three tests available for the Y chromosome however we are using a 16
marker test which is normally available for $100 to $125 per sample. We
have been able to negotiate a special rate of US $75.00 per sample to
complete this study. The Y-chromosome test does not, in any way, indicate
any medical conditions. We realize that privacy of your information may be
a concern. The lab has indicated that the We
need volunteers from all branches including but not limited to Eustace,
Eustance, Eustice, Eustis/Stacy, and Heustis lines from the following
regions.

Eustance: It
is believed that the name Eustance is a variation of Eustace. We will be
able to determine if this is correct. Stacy/Stacey: It
is believed that the name Stacey/Stacy is a variation of Eustace. We will
be able to determine if this is correct. We also need
participants from the Australian and New Zealand Eustace/Eustice/Eustis
lines regardless of origin. For
